Resumen

El objeto de estudio de este artículo es abordar la situación de uno de los colectivos más vulnerables, el de niños y jóvenes refugiados centroeuropeos que emprendieron la huida de los territorios ocupados por el III Reich, a través de la ayuda proporcionada por un gran número de organizaciones de carácter privado o estatal, que llevó a la recepción de unos diez mil refugiados menores de edad en Reino Unido al inicio de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Con este fin, se ha analizado documentación diversa procedente de archivos como The National Archive y la British Library, para acercarnos a ese drama humano y conocer su impacto en la política internacional, así como el papel desempeñado por el gobierno británico.
